Hi, I am glad to find your forum here. I am looking for a cello teacher who can inspire my son's music interesting. And I found you webpage, however, I am in Maryland, it's not possible to take my son there. Do you think 6 years old is too young to learn string music? I personnaly think violin requirs more "stillness" which I don't know if my son could achieve that. Plus, I love the sound of cello. So, do you have any information on finding a creative, fun cello teacher in WashingtonDC and metro area? Thank you!

I have heard a lot of good things about Levine School of Music

6 years old is not too young to start playing cello. I would also recommend a singing, rythm and movement class.

    Good luck!
